Christians: Are there any Christian values which were not contradicted by God's actions or teachings in the OT?

Their "God" (actually the pagan deity Baal Hadad hiding under the pseudonym Yahweh) is supposedly above the moral laws which He orders us to obey... a clic case of "Do as I say, not as I do!" But it makes no sense for Christians to speak of God as being "good" unless there is a standard of right and wrong that can be applied to God and which we can compare God's actions against to see if they are in fact good or not.
