Dream about wolves?

I had this dream a few years ago, but it was so profound, it still troubles me, there were some sheep, grazing in a beautiful green field, when suddenly they were attacked by a pack of wolves, really dark and huge! I was watching, but could do nothing to help! I wasnt a person, i think i was a sheep, but did not get attacked. This dream really haunts me, any ideas?
