Do we both need to get tested?

ok so my bf had with another girl that is promiscuous from what i have heard so i have no idea if she has stds....he has only slept with me and this other girl....my question is if i get tested for stds and i dont have anything does that mean he doesnt have anything either or should he also get tested? he has been my only partner...
