Installing an outlet, then running line into the basement?

Hi, I want to install an outlet on my dining room wall, pretty straightforward enough, find a stud, cut a hole. The trick comes with how do I then run the line through the floor into the basement? This will be behind drywall. Any suggestions appreciated and thanks!
